Exam Study Manual – Private Pesticide Applicator Certification Exam & RUP Salesperson Certification

The study manual for the Private Pesticide Applicator certification exam and the RUP Salesperson certification exam, the National Pesticide Applicator Certification Core Manual, may be picked up in person during normal business hours Monday – Friday (excluding holidays) at all 64 parish offices of the LSU AgCenter. You may locate your nearest office at the LSU AgCenter Web site.

Exam applicants should call a parish office in advance to verify whether the core manual is currently available at that office. The study core manual is also available for purchase through the LSU AgCenter Online Store using a Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit card. The cost is $30 plus tax. Copies are also available at the LSU AgCenter Callegari Environmental Center Office, 268 Knapp Hall, LSU Campus, Baton Rouge, LA 70803; 225-578-6998. Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification Exam Study Manuals

Specific study manuals for the Commercial Pesticide Applicator General Standards exam and the specific Commercial Pesticide Applicator category/subcategory exams are only available from LSU AgCenter Callegari Environmental Center Office, 268 Knapp Hall, LSU Campus, Baton Rouge, LA 70803; 225-578-6998. The study manuals are great references, and many of them contain practice exams and answers. The manuals are available for purchase, from $8 – $20 each.

Agricultural Consultant Certification Exam Study Manuals

Prepared by experts in the LSU AgCenter, the study manuals for the Agricultural Consultant Applicator certification exams are known as the Louisiana Suggested Chemical Weed Control Guide, the Louisiana Insect Pest Management Guide and the Louisiana Plant Disease Management Guide. Each manual is available online for free pdf-format download from the LSU AgCenter Website. A spiral-bound hardcopy available for purchase at $12 each plus tax from the LSU AgCenter Online Store a Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit card.

Pesticide Applicator Certification Exams
Pesticide Applicator certification exams are administered Monday – Friday (excluding holidays) at seven LDAF district offices throughout the state. Exam applicants must contact their nearest LDAF office in advance for an APPLICATION FOR TESTING and pre-pay for exams taken in any office except the Baton Rouge Office. Pesticide Applicator certification exams contain varying amounts of multiple-choice questions (generally between 60 and 105), and exam applicants must present a valid photo I.D. to take exams. Excluding the General Standards examination taken at no charge, all exams cost $50 each time an exam is taken. A grade of 70% is required for successful completion of each exam.

RUP Salesperson Certification Exams
RUP Salesperson certification exams are administered Monday – Friday (excluding holidays) at seven LDAF district offices throughout the state. Exam applicants must contact their nearest LDAF office in advance for an APPLICATION FOR TESTING and pre-pay for exams taken in any office except the Baton Rouge Office. The RUP Salesperson certification exam contains 100 multiple-choice questions, and exam applicants must present a valid photo I.D. to take the exam. A grade of 70% is required for successful completion of the exam.

Agricultural Consultant Certification Exams
AGRICULTURAL CONSULTANT APPLICANTS MUST RECEIVE PRIOR APPROVAL from an ad-hoc committee to take the exams.  The Agricultural Consultant Application for Committee Approval form is available on this website.  Once approved, candidates may complete an Agricultural Consultant Application for Testing form, also available on this website.  Agricultural Consultant certification exams are administered Monday – Friday,  (excluding holidays) by appointment–only. Agricultural Consultant certification exams contain varying amounts of multiple-choice questions (generally between 60 and 85).  Exam applicants must present a valid photo I.D. to take exams.  All subcategory exams cost $50.00 each.  A grade of 70% is required for successful completion of each exam; and, each specific category/subcategory exam may be taken up to three times in a 12-month period.
