Notice of Intent Filed with State Register – Honey Bees, Apiaries and Fire ant Regulations

LDAF has filed a notice of intent with the State Register giving public notice that the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry intends to intends to amend LAC 7:XV.501-519 regarding honey bees and apiaries and to repeal LAC:XV.701-725 regarding fire ants.  Interested persons may submit written comments, data, opinions and arguments regarding the proposed Rule.  Written submissions must be directed to Ansel Rankins, Department of Agriculture & Forestry, 5825 Florida Blvd., Suite 3002, Baton Rouge, LA 70806 and must be received no later than 12:00 p.m. on August 3, 2016.  No preamble is available regarding the proposed regulations.
