NOTICE – Notice of Intent Filed with the State Register
LAC 7:XXIX.1307-1309
November 9, 2018
LDAF has filed a notice of intent with the State Register giving public notice that the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry, pursuant to the authority in La. R.S. 3:4412, 4413, and 4414, intends to amend LAC 7:XXIX,1307-1309 relative to the Forestry Productivity Program. The proposed rule change increases the percent of the cost of the direct grant from 50 to 75 percent of the cost of implementing the cooperative agreement or the maximum cost share rates established by these regulations, whichever is less. The proposed rule change also increases the landowner eligibility requirements from five contiguous acres in Louisiana suitable for growing a timber species approved by the department to ten contiguous acres.
Interested persons may submit written comments, data, opinions, and arguments regarding the proposed rule. Written submissions must be directed to Wade Dubea, Office of Forestry, Department of Agriculture and Forestry, 5825 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70806 and must be received by no later than 12:00 p.m. on December 10, 2018. No preamble is available regarding the proposed regulations.
