Horse reported stolen in DeSoto Parish

Agriculture and Forestry Commissioner Mike Strain, D.V.M., said a horse pastured on Greenbriar Loop off Highway 509 east of Mansfield was reported stolen April 29.
The horse, a four-year old blue roan quarter horse stallion, is valued at $1,500.
Strain said the Livestock Brand Commission is offering a cash Crimestoppers reward for information that leads to an arrest and recovery of the stolen horse.

The Livestock Brand Commission, under the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry, is empowered to investigate all agricultural crime including livestock theft as well as farm machinery and equipment theft. All Livestock Brand Commission inspectors are commissioned by the Louisiana State Police and have full police powers in the performance of their duties.
