Louisiana Agricultural Chemistry and Seed Commission
The Agricultural Chemistry and Seed Commission (‘Commission’) was created within the Department of Agriculture and Forestry by Act 26 of the 2013 Louisiana Regular Legislative Session. Its purpose is to administer and enforce the laws and regulations and to employ personnel necessary to implement the provisions of the Feed (La. R.S. 3:1391 et seq.), Fertilizer (La. R.S. 3:1411 et seq.), Agricultural Liming Materials (La. R.S. 3:1430.1 et seq.) and Seed (La. R.S. 3:1431 et seq.) laws and pursuant regulations.
Louisiana Equine Promotion and Research Advisory Board
The Louisiana Equine Promotion and Research Program was created by Act 168 of the 2021 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature. Its purpose is to support the growth and development of the equine industry in Louisiana by enhancing research, education, promotion, facilities, tourism, events, and equine-related activities throughout the state. It is governed by La. R.S. 3:2071-2077.
Louisiana Industrial Hemp Promotion and Research Program
The Louisiana Industrial Hemp Promotion and Research Program was created by Act 462 of the 2022 Louisiana Regular Legislative Session. Its purpose is to support the growth and development of the industrial hemp industry in Louisiana by enhancing research, education, promotion, facilities, and industrial hemp-related activities throughout the state.
