Farmers Market Nutrition Program – Certified Farmers, Roadside Stands, & Farmers Markets
- A farmer who would like to become certified to accept Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) food benefits cards must complete a “2023 FMNP Farmer Participation Agreement” and submit it to LDAF via the address provided on the application.
- A farmer who wishes to accept SFMNP food benefits cards at his or her roadside stand must complete and submit a “2023 FMNP Roadside Stand Application and Information Form” in addition to the “2023 FMNP Farmer Participation Agreement.”
- LDAF will then contact the farmer to schedule a brief training on the program and review the “2023 FMNP Farmer Handbook.” After training, the farmer will be provided with login information for the SoliMarket Register app and a sign to display at his or her farmers market booth or roadside stand.
- In order for FMNP-certified farmers to be able to accept food benefits cards at a farmers market, the market manager of the market must complete and submit a “2023 Farmers Market Application and Information Form” to LDAF, allowing the FMNP to operate there.
