The Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry (LDAF), the Louisiana Recovery Authority (LRA) and the Louisiana Office of Community Development (OCD) developed the Louisiana Farm and Agribusiness Recovery Grant and Loan Program. The program will provide assistance to Louisiana agricultural producers and agribusinesses that suffered damages from hurricanes Gustav and Ike.

The funding for this program was approved by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and will come from its Community Development Block Grant funds.

A total of $44.5 million is allocated for this program.
